Sofia Almeida

Hello, I’m Sofia! I am a first year student veterinary nurse training at Moreton Morrell College. I have always aspired for a career in the veterinary industry, derived from my great love and appreciation of all animals. This year I finished my Masters in Creative Writing (another passion of mine) and after the loss of my beloved cavalier, Samurai I finally decided to jump into studying for my dream career. I am thoroughly enjoying working alongside our incredible veterinary surgeons and nurses to ensure the best possible care for your animals.

I have a soft spot for dogs (especially cavaliers) and hamsters. I am very interested in hamster medicine and care and canine behaviour. I was born in Portugal, but moved to Leamington Spa when I was three. Currently, I live in Warwick with my partner and our rescue cat, Moose. In my spare time, I enjoy illustrating and writing poetry and spending time with my parents beautiful Jack-Chi, Hazel. I am really excited to get to know you all and your animals!
