Diagnostics

We have a dedicated imaging room for our modern Digital x-ray system. Most quality x-rays require sedation or anaesthesia to ensure our patients remain still and correctly positioned without being stressed. Also regulations to prevent human exposure to radiation do not allow us to stay in the room with them. With digital x-rays we are able to send them for specialist opinions very quickly.

Ultrasound can be a very useful diagnostic tool and can be useful for assessing hearts, bladders and abdominal organs. This can often be performed without any sedation. It is also commonly used to confirm pregnancy.

We can perform ECGs to allow us to assess heart rhythm and health.

Blood pressure monitoring may be recommended for your pet as hypertension is a silent disease especially in elderly cats.
